Authentication Deep Link issues

If you are having an issue with the signup and login link not working, you can follow these steps:
1. If the Sign Up / Login link is not clickable but only text, this is a setting of your mailbox and you can copy and paste the link into your browser (Chrome/Safari etc.) and it will work to redirect you to the app for authentication.


2. If the Sign Up / Login link allows you to click and redirects you to MessengerX, but does not sign you in or gives you a 404 error, make sure you are on the same device that you started the login process on. For example, if you started the login process on your smart phone and want to login to the app, you cannot complete the login process by clicking the email link on your computer but have to click the link from the same smart phone; or if you are trying to login to MessengerX on your computer, you must complete the login process by clicking the link on your computer rather than your phone.

If you are on the same device but it is still not working; close out of the app, make sure you are updated to the most recent version, try logging/signing up again. If it still does not work, please uninstall the app and reinstall the app to try again. Note, if it asks you which browser you would like to open the link in, giving you the option between Safari, Default Browser, Chrome, and others; make sure you click Default Browser. If your default Browser is something other than Safari, try clicking Safari. Additionally, the magic link will not work if you are opening the link within a 'webview' inside of your email client; for example, if you are in gmail and the link opens within a window inside of gmail instead of opening in the real browser, this can limit link functionality. In this instance, copy and paste the link into your default browser and it should work for you.

Lastly, if nothing has worked, please contact our team to report a login bug and you can continue using the app as a guest until we can resolve your request.
